9 Easy Ways to Open the Network Connections in Windows 11

Having trouble finding your network connections in Windows 11? Whether you want to troubleshoot your Wi-Fi, tweak Ethernet settings, or just see what’s going on with your internet, there are multiple quick ways to get to the right spot. Here are nine straightforward methods anyone can use.

1. Use the Search Bar

Click the Start button or tap the Windows key, type “Network Connections”, and hit Enter. This brings you straight to the list of network adapters.

2. Right-Click the Network Icon

In your system tray (bottom right corner), right-click the network/Wi-Fi icon. Choose “Network and Internet settings”. In the new window, click “Advanced network settings” to see your network connections.

3. Open Settings App

Press Windows + I to open Settings. Navigate to Network & Internet > Advanced network settings. Here you’ll find all your network adapters.

4. Control Panel

Type “Control Panel” in the Start menu and open it. Go to Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. That’s your classic Network Connections window.

5. Run Dialog

Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog. Type ncpa.cpl and hit Enter. This instantly opens the Network Connections panel.

6. Command Prompt

Open Command Prompt (type cmd in Start, hit Enter). Then, enter:

control ncpa.cpl

This command opens the Network Connections window.

7. PowerShell

Open PowerShell and type:

Start-Process ncpa.cpl

Press Enter. Same result—your network connections pop up.

8. Desktop Shortcut

Right-click on your desktop, choose New > Shortcut. Enter ncpa.cpl as the location, give it a name (e.g., “Network Connections”), and finish. Double-click this icon anytime you want fast access.

9. Task Manager

Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), click File > Run new task, type ncpa.cpl, and hit OK.

Bottom Line:
Windows 11 hides a lot of things behind new menus, but these methods guarantee you can always get to your network connections in seconds—whether you like clicking, typing, or using shortcuts.
