Beginners Guide to Install Ubuntu Alongside Windows 10

In this video tutorial, I’ll show you how to install Ubuntu with Windows 10 already installed on the system. The steps shown here apply to other Ubuntu versions such as Lubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Ubuntu-based Linux distributions such as Linux Mint, elementary OS, etc.

Compatibility checks:
1. This tutorial is suitable for systems that come with Windows 10 pre-installed with UEFI secure boot and GPT partitioning system. Please check whether your system uses GPT or MBR ( https://youtu.be/H7dGd9LNzig )
2. Make sure your system uses UEFI: This tutorial is only applicable for systems with UEFI boot. If you have bought your system in the last 5-6 years, chances are that you should already have a UEFI system on GPT partition. However, there is no harm in verifying that your system uses UEFI ( https://youtu.be/Ascnw2Tj3Q8 )
3. If your system uses legacy BIOS with MBR partitioning system, please follow this dual boot video tutorial ( https://youtu.be/ZUpEZ-HGbPI )
